Parasailing, jet ski and diving on Djerba: which water sport is worth your money?
Updated October 18, 2026 · 5 min read
In short. For most people the best choice is “Djerba: Solo, Duo, or Trio Parasailing Flights”: 10 minutes in the air, €34 per person, rated 5.0 from 109 reviews: see dates and prices for the parasailing flights. If you want to steer something yourself, take the jet ski: “Djerba: Thrilling Jet Ski Adventure & Free Transfer”, rated 5.0 from 332 reviews, the most reviewed water sport on the island: see the jet ski ride. If you want to see what is under the water, take an introductory dive, from €50.
Three kinds, three different afternoons
Parasailing is the easy one: you are strapped into a harness behind a boat and lifted up. Nothing to learn, which is why a 10-minute flight is a full activity. The jet ski is the loud one, and it is the only one of the three where you make the decisions. The dive is the slow one: a briefing, exercises in shallow water, then the sea.
Parasailing
| Tour | Duration | From | Rating | What the description says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo, Duo, or Trio Parasailing Flights | 10 minutes | €34 | 5.0 · 109 reviews | solo, duo or trio flights, aerial views of the coast |
| Parasailing Experience and Boat tour | 40 minutes | €45 | 4.6 · 27 reviews | take-off and landing “from the safety of your boat’s deck” |
| Parasailing Experience | 10 minutes | €32 | 5.0 · 5 reviews | “suitable for beginners” |
The €34 trip lets you fly alone or with one or two others, which matters if one person in the group is nervous: you can go up together. The €45 trip is longer because it includes the boat ride; the description says you take off and land on the boat’s deck. The €32 trip is the cheapest, but with five reviews there is little to go on.
Jet ski
| Tour | Duration | From | Rating | What the description says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Thrilling Jet Ski Adventure & Free Transfer | 15 minutes to 1.5 hours | €22.50 per group of up to 2 | 5.0 · 332 reviews | safety briefing, short familiarisation, “a dedicated area”, all levels |
| Jet Ski Adventure – Explore Coast & Search for Dolphins | 15 minutes to 1.5 hours | €39 per person | 4.7 · 97 reviews | coastal views, “catch a glimpse of dolphins” |
Read the price column carefully. The first price is for a group of up to two, the second is per person, so the two are not comparable as they stand. Both are starting prices for the shortest option; the listing covers 15 minutes up to 1.5 hours, and the booking page shows what the longer rides cost. We could not tell from the listings how much more.
There are also four listings for a fixed 1.5-hour guided ride at €105 to €115 per person. They have between none and three reviews, so we cannot say anything about them except that they cost several times as much. A fifth fixed 1.5-hour ride is priced per group: €108.81 for up to two people, rated 4.8 from 182 reviews, so it is the better-evidenced of the long rides.
A chance to see dolphins is a hope, not a promise. If dolphins are what you want, the dolphin trips on Djerba are a better bet than a jet ski.
Introductory diving
| Tour | Duration | From | Rating | What the description says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Introductory Scuba Diving Session | 2 hours | €67 | 4.9 · 41 reviews | designed for first-timers, expert instruction |
| Discover Scuba Diving Experience with Instructor | 2 hours | €70 | 4.6 · 43 reviews | short theory session, guided dive with an instructor |
| Beginner Diving Baptism with Hotel Transfers | 2.5 hours | €50 | 4.8 · 36 reviews | briefing, exercises in shallow water, then a boat ride to see marine life; hotel transfers |
| Scuba Diving | 2.5 hours | €80 | 3.8 · 11 reviews | contact the operator on WhatsApp after booking |
The cheapest of the four is also the one with a hotel transfer, so the price difference is not the whole picture: you save €17 against the €67 session and the ride to the dive site as well. The last one is the weakest on every count, price, rating and number of reviews.
What none of the listings say
None of the descriptions we read states a minimum age, a weight limit or a health condition that rules you out. Every one of these is something an operator will have, so ask before you pay, especially if you are travelling with children or have a health condition. We do not give a number here because we could not find one we can stand behind.
The sea matters too. Sea temperature figures for Djerba put the water at about 24 °C in June, 27 to 28 °C from July to September and 22 to 25 °C in October and November, but only about 15 °C in February. Outside the warm months, ask the operator whether and how they run the trips.
Our recommendation
If you do one thing, do the parasailing: no skills needed, 10 minutes, a 5.0 rating across 109 reviews, and you can go with someone. Take the jet ski if you want the speed and are happy to read the price line twice. For diving, the beginner session at €50 with hotel transfers is the best value, but the €67 session has the higher rating.
